The Shape of Water

An ode to the ephemeral qualities of flowing water, effervescent mist and delicate frost.

Many different aspects of water inspired me. The fluidity of the sea as it ripples creating breath-taking reflections of light in the glittering sunshine, the diaphanous clouds of mist and fog as it dances around whilst floating gracefully and the jagged lines of shimmering ice crystals as it grows, forming coiled patterns of exquisitely translucent geometry.

From flowing chiffons and glittering tulles, to fluid, water-like draping and iridescent crystal embellishments, each garment was created to echo the raw elemental rhythm of water.

[wot-er]

Water can exist as a solid, a liquid or a gas, depending on its temperature, thus creating many different shapes and forms.

Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it."

- Lao Tzu
