About

The Designer

Hello! Im Alycia, a Welsh designer who is very passionate about bespoke bridal, corsetry and couture. Having always been enthralled by creating opulent and highly detailed garments, I loved learning as much as I could about the craft.

I graduated with first class honors in Design for Performance at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design and whilst attending university, had the opportunity to work with many wonderful craftspeople to help developed my love of couture corsetry and improve my artistry .

Using these skills, I now craft beautifully bespoke garments, with subtle glimmers, hidden personal details and exquisite textures to make my clients both look and feel beautiful.

The Name

'Emiah' comes from the initials of Eudyptula Minor with my initials AH added onto the end.

'Eudyptula minor' is the scientific title for the smallest breed of penguin in the world, the ‘Little, blue, fairy penguin’.

When I was a child my dad called me 'little penguin' due to my small stature and the distinct 'waddle' I had whilst learning to walk. It kind of stuck and he still calls 'peng' to this day!

When the time came to create my brand I thought of no better inspiration then this memory to remind me of when I was a child, filled with big ideas, a wild imagination and a drive to create breathtakingly beautiful objects.
